| What do you do when push comes to shove? Do you unwittingly allow others to step on your feelings, or do your own strong words and actions tend to intimidate others? Your ability to communicate assertively and confidently will have a significant impact on how others are likely to respond to you. Refining these communication skills will help you work more effectively with teammates, colleagues, patients and customers. In this session we will focus on building confidence through assertive communication, while maintaining positive relationships and accomplishing goals. We will discuss issues related to your assertiveness (or lack of it) and how those issues affect you daily. Participants will learn skills to help them cope with challenging communication situations and they will learn how positive assertiveness can smooth out the bumps in the road! If you want to increase your self-confidence in dealing with the Maalox Moments that arise daily be sure to attend this session! |
