Mr. Jeffrey C. Dierks will present a 1-hour course
CBCT Basics and the Obstructive Sleep Apnea Dilemma
This one hour presentation will briefly cover the basics of 3D imaging and how it relates to traditional 2D digital radiography, both in terms of diagnostics and radiation dose. We will also delve into the rapidly expanding arena of dental sleep medicine and cover the depth of the problem in the United States and Oklahoma. In particular, what a Dentist can do to help meet the medical need and discuss the inherent challenges in adding this treatment modality to your patient population.
Mr. Dierks is the Director of Sales of the Midwest Region overseeing operations for Imaging Sciences International in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. He has been in this position for the past 8 years and in the Dental community for the past 16 years. He has seen the dramatic proliferation of the technology in the dental profession and helped install more 3D systems than any save his two elder co-workers. Having previously been the National Sales Manager for OrthoCAD, a division of Cadent, he has a unique perspective on the use of 3D technology in dental offices as well as extensive training and study on the technical aspects. He has presented to countless implant, TMD, Ortodontic, Sleep Dentistry organizations and study clubs and most recently he lectured on the main podium of the American Equilibration Society annual meeting.
