Sleep Apnea or Sleep Related Disordered Breathing in Adults and Children is ever present in our dental practices today.  As members of the dental community, we are in the best position to screen and evaluate for a condition that causes several total health issues. If left untreated, patients in the dental setting grow into a bigger dilemma that has health risks.  Learn how to be at the forefront of a growing problem that affects people we may treat or know in our lives.  Learn how to create or implement dental sleep medicine in your practice and how to empower your team members to carry out the process.

Biography

Dr. Diana Batoon is an international speaker who combines her passion and expertise to challenge the way dentistry is done. She invites her patients and her audiences to question popular misconceptions and face the intimate connection between oral health and overall health. Dr. Batoon’s insight generates momentum for change through practical action steps attained from over 20 years in the field. In 1997, Dr. Diana Batoon founded Bonita Dental in Scottsdale, AZ. A 1996 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with specialized training in cosmetic dentistry, she is a member of ADA, AACD, AGD, CDA, AzDA, AACSM, and AADSM. She actively participates in SPEAR Faculty Club, CERECdoctors.com, and has completed a General Practice Residency at Veterans Administration Hospital in Loma Linda, California. She has extensive training in Full Mouth Rehab, TMJ, Sleep Medicine, and Dental Implant Restorations.
